Grant is a Registered Osteopath who graduated from RMIT. His initial years have seen him in practice working in Geelong and Ocean Grove. Returning to Melbourne, Grant now divides his time between a clinic in Mill Park and The Osteopaths in Blackburn.
Grant has played many years of basketball and football growing up, and went through a lot of injuries that kept him on the sidelines. This gave him a real interest in helping people to both recover and prevent these sporting injuries.
He has loved working with children as they begin their career and assisting them to move as well as they can and be able to do the things they love. He also has spent time with athletes in senior sport to maintain their bodies as they get towards the end of their career when it can be more difficult to stay on the track.
As well as sporting injuries, Grant has a real interest in life after sport and how we can best manage ourselves to find life-work balance. This allows our body to be the best version of itself. This includes creating visions and goals with people about what their ideal picture looks like if they were to choose it, and the steps we can put in place together to get here.
Grant likes to use a mix of gentle and structural techniques, as well as the use of dry needling – aiming to tailor each treatment to each individual person and how their body responds. This treatment is then worked into a comprehensive management plan including rehabilitation exercises as well as lifestyle tips that can assist you in your journey.
Outside of work Grant loves to spend time outdoors, especially out at a river or beach with his family and friends, as well as doing some long distance running and playing basketball.
